Vodafone

The Project

We worked with Vodafone on a brand new video podcast series, from day one the aim was a social media impact. Short clips, quick moments, stuff that actually makes you stop scrolling. The longer episode still existed, but it was never the main event. This was always about creating content that felt native to feeds, not something awkwardly chopped up after the fact.

The Challenge

Anyone who’s ever tried pulling clips from a podcast knows how risky it can be. You can record for ages and still come away thinking, where are the good bits? Relying on one standout moment in a long conversation felt like a gamble, and we needed a way to make sure every shoot delivered enough strong content without crossing our fingers in the edit.

Insight + Strategy

So we did things a bit backwards. Instead of recording a long podcast and hoping it would magically turn into loads of great clips, we designed everything around the short-form first. Questions were tighter, pacing mattered more, and we were always thinking, would this work as a standalone clip on someone’s phone? Each episode became a collection of moments rather than one long conversation. The full-length podcast then turned into a nice extra, something for people who wanted to stick around longer. It meant every shoot felt purposeful, and nothing was left to chance or luck on the day.

The Result

What we ended up with was a bank of genuinely engaging clips that worked really well on social and helped pull in a new audience. The content didn’t feel repurposed or forced, it felt like it belonged there. And for Vodafone, that meant a podcast format that actually made sense for how people watch things now, not how they used to.
